There isn’t really much to say about the 1950s town of Bloomville, Pennsylvania. It’s a small community, so everybody knows somebody. And if there’s one pair of twins that best exemplifies that, it’s Drew and Rose Mason. Drew works at the local steel mill (which is at risk of closing down), while Rose is a crop duster who has long aspired to be an Air Force pilot (when most women weren’t allowed to have a fair shake). So if there’s one thing that they can both agree on, it’s the fact that their futures aren’t really going anywhere.
Life for the two siblings changes forever one night, when they stumble upon something in the fields far greater than they — or anyone else in the cosmos for that matter — could ever possibly comprehend! Is this the future-defining chance that both Rose and Drew have been waiting for?

Normal is not the best way to describe Bailey Blair’s life. When she isn’t trying to work through being the daughter of a politician who sees her as nothing more than a publicity piece, she desperately tries to help others in ways that typically get viewed from a bad perspective. Her only friend is older cousin and local reporter Claire Joyce (who has the kind of caring family Bailey couldn’t be more jealous of).
Bailey’s life changes, however, when an assassination attempt results in her life getting prioritized over a group of innocents that she had never even met before. When they die as a result, the experience makes her realize that the only way to bring about meaningful change is by taking matters into her own hands. And with Claire’s help, she becomes Dauntless, the new defender of Washington D.C!
